The Agile culture check can be executed in different ways. But more importantly, you don't want to end as another statistic where is stated that the top 1 reason for agile transition failures is that the organizational culture is at odds with agile values.
So I was curious to see the agile culture map visualizing the differences. In this map I compare The Netherlands with the Agile culture. For other countries you will have complete different results. At this moment there are culture maps available of 67 countries. As we can see in this comparison there are a lot of differences to take into account.
Be aware also of existing challenges, like post-merger implications, which make it very difficult to start with an Agile Transformation. What I propose than, is to solve first the problem that came out of the post-merger phase, so you create stability and trust between the people. When stability, trust and confidence are stepping in, you have a powerful foundation to start an Agile Transformation. Don't consider to do this all in parallel, as the people in your organisation will not be able to cope with all the stress. Remember, you people make your organisation, so don't burn them up, before even starting!
